Design is a lot more than pretty pictures, or coming in and decorating a site so it looks good. Sure, we will create you a site that is eye-catching and makes you go 'WOW!', but there is a lot more to it.

Business Goals

When designing a site, Cabbage Tree's designers take various factors into account. The first of these is the goals set out by the client. These might be to increase bookings, or to get more people to contact the company, or maybe sign up to the mailing list. Whatever they might be, design can be used to encourage and influence the site's visitors towards those goals.

Usability

We also consider usability, which is making the site easy to navigate, understand and use. There are certain things that can be done that make the overall experience of using the site a good one, keeping visitors in a positive frame of mind and helping them achieve the task for which they came to the site.

Accessibility

Another important consideration is accessibility, which is ensuring the site can be seen and used by everyone. This includes people who may be vision impaired, have limited internet connections or may be browsing by mobile phone. There is no point losing business because people can’t use your site, so we ensure that EVERYONE is able to use the site in one way or another.
