FAQ

What is a secure certificate?

Secure certificates are a data encryption technology which is required on any website where credit card details are entered directly into the site, or where any other critical information is entered (e.g. patient details). It provides a secure method of sending data over the internet or other network. The certificate is renewed annually and enables the use of HTTPS pages. The certificate does not provide any method of storing confidential data.
